Anger and Danger are Only One Letter Apart

I am reposting this from the Facebook status of fellow blogger, Arlene Collado. She said, “ANGER is only one letter short of DANGER! So be slow to anger.”

Indeed! Last night I had bouts of anger. Things just got piled up and in the end, the fussiness of my child brought out my anger demon and I have become very dangerous–not just for my child and husband, but also to myself.

Anger can be like lupus or leprosy–it eats us alive and consumes us. It consumes every part of us, not just our heart or emotions but also our minds and our bodies. We can shake so badly during an anger fit and all our internal organs are affected.

Anger is very destructive both inside and outside. So if you have bouts of anger, just like me, well then, we really need to seek help. We need to pray harder and cling more tightly to the Vine, whose gentleness and patience will dispel any bouts of anger.

A blessed Monday everyone!

Psalm 145:8 – “The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.”
