This is a re-post on the subject of laughing that I found from a friend’s Facebook page.
“Laughing lowers levels of stress hormones and strengthens the immune system. Six-year-olds laugh an average of 300 times a day. Adults only laugh 15 to 100 times a day. Laugh More!”
I think that this is so true. As we grow older and face more serious matters like decisions, jobs, handling money, family, and investments, we tend to think a lot and keep a straight face. And more often than not, during these times we are found with frowns.
But the best thing to avoid unhealthy stress and ill health is to find something that makes you laugh. Or better yet, always find reasons to laugh.
I am an emotional person that is why I avoid sad movies. Instead, my husband and I prefer romantic comedy movies. Not only do we feel good afterwards, we really laugh a lot during the movie.
My husband prefers those action hero/super hero movies and we do indulge in them from time to time. I also like them. But we do not watch those war movies and those too emotional ones. We prefer something, something that would make us laugh really hard and just have a good time.
